As Senior Vice President Orange County for Professional Community Management, René Decker heads a department providing management and customer service to over 100 communities throughout Southern California. His strong, experienced leadership is evidenced by the excellent retention rate of communities managed by PCM.

René is also one of the principals in marketing PCM services to new clients. As a leader in presenting PCM’s unique experience and resources, he has been very instrumental in the growth of the company.

René has been a vital member of PCM’s management team since 1989. His work as a community manager enabled him to develop a deep insight and understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of the management profession. His skill and experience enable him to work closely with homeowner and developer boards of directors to provide guidance in all aspects of community management.

As a management professional, René has earned the distinguished credential of Certified Community Association Manager (CACM), conferred by the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). He is also an award-winning manager, having received a CACM Leadership Award for Creative Solutions for Problem Solving and a CACM Circle Award for his work in promoting good partnership, ethical standards and relationship building with industry affiliates.

His volunteer efforts have focused around promoting professionalism and increasing education for the community management industry. As such, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of CACM since 1996 and currently serves as chair of the Ambassador Committee. He also provides ongoing training throughout the industry for managers, board members and vendors.

René is also an active member of the Community Associations Institute.

René is a graduate of California State University at Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications.
